About Tunebump

Tunebump started as a side project, born from a love of music and a passion for building creative applications. Based in the Netherlands, we wanted to create something that combined both. When we discovered how important playlist promotion is for independent and emerging artists, we saw an opportunity to do something meaningful.

We spent time studying the Spotify algorithm, digging into what actually moves the needle for artists, and built Tunebump around those insights. We grew our curator network by reaching out to curators one by one, through email, social media, and contact forms on their websites. Before bringing any curator on board, we analysed the growth and quality of their playlists. We continue to monitor every playlist in our network to make sure quality stays consistent.

Spotify's algorithm learns from listener behaviour. When your track gets added to a real playlist and listeners engage with it, Spotify starts to understand who your music is for. That data feeds into personalised playlists like Discover Weekly and Radio, where new fans find you organically. Playlist placements are one of the most effective ways to give the algorithm the signal it needs early on. That is what Tunebump is here for.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know before getting started

Once you submit your track, our algorithm automatically matches it with curators whose playlists align with your song and chosen follower tier. You don't need to search or reach out to anyone manually. We handle the matching so your track lands in front of the most relevant curators.
Tunebump works with credits. A Starter pack gives you 300 credits for $30, Growth gives you 600 credits for $60, and Pro gives you 1,000 credits for $100. No subscriptions or hidden fees.
Credits are spent when you submit your track to a playlist curator. The amount depends on the playlist follower tier you choose: Tier 1 (500 to 10K followers) costs 20 credits per curator, Tier 2 (10K to 50K) costs 40, Tier 3 (50K to 100K) costs 60, and Tier 4 (100K+) costs 100 credits.
No, and we're transparent about that. Curators make completely independent decisions about whether a track fits their playlist. What we do guarantee is that every curator submits a review within 14 days. If a curator doesn't respond, you get your credits back automatically.
You will always receive a review outcome: accepted or declined. If your track is declined, the curator is required to explain why in writing. If your track is accepted, written feedback is optional on their end, though many curators still leave a note.
If a curator doesn't submit their review within the 14-day window, your credits for that submission are automatically refunded to your account. You never lose credits on unreviewed submissions.
A campaign lasts a maximum of 14 days. It will be completed as soon as you have received feedback from all curators. If any curator hasn't responded by the end of the 14-day period, your credits for that submission are automatically refunded.
We currently support: Alternative Indie, Blogwave, Classic, Classical Jazz, EDM, Electronica Breaks, Folk, Hip-hop Rap, House Techno, IDM Downtempo, Pop, Punk Ska, Metal Hard Rock, and RnB Funk Soul.
Yes. Tunebump fully complies with Spotify's Terms of Service. We never pay for guaranteed placements or use bots to generate streams. Curators are real, verified people who listen to your track and make their own independent decision.
